Hello TSMFriends, I am almost 17 months in. DailyDay drinker many years. 52 year old post menopausal woman in good shape and I take my health very serious. ( including this ethanol thing 😩😴).. The 1st 3 months my drinking cut in 1/2👍..however I have been stuck at 4-7 drinks 🍷/ daily now for the last 14 months👎😡..compliant to a fault...I have diligently employed every mindful 🤯suggestion given to me..And continue to do so... I have tried every amino acid protocol, supplement protocol and anti stress tactics CBT, CBD oils etc...I know of or has been recommended ....blah blah blah....I know My relationship to alcohol is definitely changing as I often feel quite nauseous🤮when time to drink comes and find it kinda hard to choke back. NOR DO I REALLY WANT IT🍷 but my brain and body still say “yes”I can shut it off at the 4-6drink mark..but truthfully it is the first couple drinks🍷after NaL + hour that get me...no matter how slow of fast consumption or how far I put it from my person.... I watched Katie Lain interview with Ria Health ( and C3)...a little bit of encouragement came when Claudia’s “Wing girl “ said...it is different for everybody...but ....she has seen many quit TSM...just when they were “right on the cusp” ...That can’t be me!!!!!!....I am in too deep now( time $$$, emotional, mental investment) to turn back. Has anyone ever taken this’s long to fully respond.?? )... 🌈🐒 🤷♀️🍷
Are you able to work with a TSM counselor? Maybe you need to up the dosage? I am relatively new to TSM and Nal (12 weeks) so I don't have anywhere near the experience as yourself or joesixpack.
Do you have any support from friends/family? I have told some friends about my journey - while they don't understand the nuts and bolts of TSM, they do support me. One of my nephews is doing TSM and it is so great for us both to have each other. He is over 9 months in and has only had one or two AF days.
Cutting drinking in half seems a big deal in my book. Keep at it, even if you can't see the end in sight yet the harm reduction whilst you get there is success in itself. Think of all the drinks you haven't had.

JSP, I know you kinda know my story🍷🤔🤦♀️👨👩👧👧😩👎👀🐒.. I appreciate sooo much your care and concern as well as your very helpful suggestions. I have no access to topiramate as I actually have NO other health issues and @ this juncture will not employ my primary care giver 🙄dominance over my wellness nor his allowance of any “blanket” diagnoses or seeming understanding 🤫🧐of my personal situation...I have, though, given a great deal of thought to the idea of “ spontaneous sobriety after 12+ plus months of TSM..🙏....I will not stop now...I am exploring all the little changes 👀🧠👂and know for sure something is happening...but not sure what it will lead to . Shia, thank you for your input. I actually did up my dose to 75 mg in January and played with 100 mg for a week or so in between then and now . 😱$$$$. I am slowly gaining my husbands support as long as he see 👀 some forward Movement ( but like I said, I have been stuck) 😡👎...no TSM doctor involved either. I am starting to realize that this is a very lucrative $$$$ “dis ease” to share😶.....I have 0 alcohol free days😥 Hobnob, Cutting 🍷in half as a very big deal for me too....13 months ago 🤦♀️...and I have not returned to the level of insanity🍷🤮🥵🙄 that I was at 🤪 13months+ ago...so that is very good... I do like the idea of focusing👁 on “ the drinks I haven’t had”...I like that..I try to throw that one by my hubby...see if he can get his head around that accomplishment... I’m in for the long haul....extinction is my goal...and it seems that it is going to take a lot more time than many on this forum..TSM has to work for me ,,,,,it just has to.,,,🙇♀️ To you all 😙 🤷♀️🍷
Propranolol worked well for me, btw... got rid of the shakes and anxiety in the mornings when I was drinking (a lot) too much. I've weaned myself off it with no problems now the drinking is more under control. It might be worth a shot.
ourdailyred, good to hear from you. I am SOOO sorry for the frustration and feeling "stuck." I'm glad to hear you say you are not stopping now. Like the expression, "I didn't come this far to only come this far." I know you can hang in. Hopefully JSP has a tip for you on cheaper Nal so you can experiment with higher dosage.
Hey, Has anyone tried kudzu &TSM, if so ...how would it work in regards to The Sinclair method,?.....🤔...I appreciate any insight.👀 🍷
I’m new to TSM (2nd week) but tried Kudzoo root pills as well as a liquid called Sobrenix (available on Amazon.) These were placebos to me until I started Naltrexone. I can 100% confirm that taking 2 droppers of Sobrenix after taking Naltrexone squashes any and all cravings in the 1-2 hour waiting period. I sometimes even go AF because the cravings are just not there and the desire passes. Kind of a waste of Nal but am AF day is even better for me.

Thanks Thai, I cannot get sobrinex in my country.👎..yet....the hundreds of reviews are mostly positive, so that’s good 👍.but, how Though would one kudzu and TSM work together. Take nal, then take kudzu, then drink.....then redose kudzu as needed?.?...They say kudzu is an antagonist also.🤔. I really don’t want to compromise any progress I’ve made with TSM. I’m in deep.🙇♀️. I’ll check in tomorrow to see if anyone has further insight. I think tomorrow I will try NAL, then kudzu and my milk thistle blend. See what happen🤷♀️ Thanks for the tip. 🍷

Hi Pauline, Yes I did. I am a day drinker so that means I experimented yesterday!! 🧐 I took the nal at 10:15 and the took the kudzu @11:00....then drank 🍷 at 11:30. I actually felt pretty good for the most part.👍. Still drank more than I wanted but felt a little less preoccupied and a little physical anxiety.🤨. I will try to duplicate that strategy and see👀 what happens...I’m also taking kava capsules in an attempt to influence my morning anxiety...seems to at least help push my start time👏... I’ll see how or when the cravings come .🤷♀️ 🙏🍷

Also I am a little hesitant to take the kudzu first because I read 📚somewhere that kudzu is also an antagonist 🤷♀️. I definitely wouldn’t want it to interfere with NALS absorption... but if I am ever going to get a NAL free day and an AF I will have to ! 🍷
