I have pushed ahead my morning ritual for which I'm grateful, I have to be mindful not to slip again.
My measurements are as follows; 1oz or 30ml = 1 unit, is this correct?
I have a question in regards to NAL; once the pill is taken, how many hours is it effectively blocking in our system? ex: if I take it at noon, can I have my last drink at 10pm? (I've read 8-10h, to me it's a very crucial point that I rarely see mentioned).
Thank you xoxoxo

You're certainly welcome!
It depends on where you are, in the UK 25ml is one unit. Try googling Standard Drink UK (or US), but it doesn't matter quite so much which one you choose, as long as you stick with that one throughout tracking.
The answer about how long Nal is effective for is kind of in flux. From what I've read the middle figure is to redose 10 hours after your first dose. You and your doc may have to adjust that up or down for your particular case. Earlier guidance was that if you took it at noon, you were covered until midnight.

I'm so excited!!! This past Saturday I had my very first AF day Weeks: 16/25u, 17/26u, 18/21u....I've closed 4 months on NAL...I'm trailing like a turtle though! Looking at my chart; week 6/46u then I spend many weeks in the upper & lower 30units, now I'm in the 20's!!! I am so very grateful
Often I drink out of habit now instead of cravings....this it worries me a little. I know how hard habits are to break, I tell myself one day at a time...this too shall pass!
The habits slowly fade away, don't worry. The fact that it is transitioning to habit drinking instead of craving drinking is a very good sign. The last half of my "cleanup" was me going through the habits of "Oh, it's Friday after work. I HAVE to drink." That slowly, but surely fades away. Be patient and keep that long term perspective.
Congrats on your continuing improvement juneflower ! dad is so right about the habitual part gradually fading. Using mindfulness will help this along. I still monitor myself in those situations that always triggered me to drink to excess.
There's a cool point towards the end when I remember drinking only because I took the pill. I had no desire to drink, but because I took the pill I knew I had to follow through with the medication regiment. So I'd get down a beer and then switch to water or something.
It feels like that was ages ago, but it was just 2-3 months ago!
